Is it straight forward doing the rear brake pads on an 840? Are there any special tools needed?
Thanks Karl

No special tools. There's not much access to the rear caliper bolts so that part can be a bit slow. When putting the new pads in you may find the pad with the spring clip on the back doesn't go all the way in. You have to use a screw driver to lever the caliper sides on to the top of the pad. (You'll know what I mean when you get there ).

Special Tools
Karl_P, the only "special" tool needed is a 7mm allen wrench, or socket allen. I bought a 3/8drive socket allen, but there was so little clearance between the caliper and control arm that I had to grind off about 1/3. Also, make sure you put some sort of anti-squeal compound on it, or you'll be doing it again. Ask me how I know...

Allen wrench, that's for the ABS Sensor ? Can't remeber.
