Hi guys, no I'm afraid I didnt take a close up. I attached the mesh at the back of the hole so its right up inside the holes.

"Treasurer Gold" I presume?
hahaha! Now THOSE are some drug dealer cigarettes if ever I saw some!
I can't remember what they were, it was a bit mangled by the time I got it out!

Just did a google search, I know these are kidney grilles, but what about these in the same format? Maybe with a black mesh rather than silver?
-
Anyone know where the best place is to get the front spoiler. Anything else that from the dealer?

This might be a solution, just need to find a way of securing it in place.

Had a look under the front cover (i.e. where the aircon condensor and aux fan is. I think we could fix a mesh horizontally, rear fixing to the two bolts holding the black plastic "sill" just under the Aux Fan, and the front fixed by the three bolts holding the base of the air tunnel to the front bumper. This would mean the mesh would be secure and NOT seen from outside the car, therefore any type of mesh could be used. It would also mean it would be easy to shape the mesh. The sides and rear would all be straight lines and a slight curve along the font edge.
When I have made it I will take pics for clarity.

I successfully made a grille yesterday using some aluminium sheet from B&Q that I had left over from a radiator cover I made. I used the original fixing points so there were no new holes to drill in the car.
1) Remove cover in front of radiator
2) remove auxiliary fan
3) Remove two securing screws holding the rear of the plastic "ramp" in the bumper air intake
4) fit two small 90degree brackets (from B&Q) and replace screws
5) Remove three screws securing upper plastic moulding to bumper at front of air intake
6) Cut grille to shape (grille is nominally 30mm x 610 mm)
7) Fit plastic "u" channel strip along each side of grille to support it
Check fit and adjust grille as required then fit in place
9) Secure grille to rear brackets using two screws and large flat washers on top of rear
brackets
10) Secure grille to bumper using the original three screws and large flat washers. -
That looks awesome really good, Well done.

Very nice. It's unobtrusive and functional. Great job on this!

I've updated the grille with a stainless mesh and fitted a rubber surround.
