Zitat
This all makes me smile - what difference does it make who owned the car previously - it certainly doesn't make a difference to the car (unless the modified it or trashed it). I'm currently looking to buy a house and am amused when Estate Agents say that "Dr xxxx, or Lord xxxx, used to live there - as if it makes any difference to the fabric of the building - I buy a car (or a house) because of the features, looks and condition - not for who has previously had the privilege. I wouldn't choose a wife on the basis of previous owners!!
Would you have that opinion if the house was previously owned by Fred West?
Andy Cole (Ex Notts Forrest) had one.
Jimmy White was still in a BMW (E65 ish) a couple of years back, you can't miss him, Reg. No. CUE BOY!

WHAT AXE???

The UB40 car was a shed that "needed a bit of paint" and was relocated to Italy from where it was offered as a star shed "I have convinced Mr Campbell to sign the dashboard"

This car allegedly once belonged to "mano de dios" Diego Maradona

Oh, and don't forget David Hockney.
I have been lead to believe I have purchased the front nose from Robbie Coltraine's black V12. I didn't pay anymore for it than any other on the market!!
Zitat von Nifty50;69246Darren Clarke, professional Golfer had a Dakar yellow one that appeared on the front page of one of the magazines a while back
That's my car -- anyone know which magazine???? *paging Reinhard*
I have yet to save money for my first tee off, so can´t help with the golfing magazine. Maybe once Graham has crawled from under his caddy he can do a double check on this.
The internet also does not give any meaningful additional information other than that Darren Clarke won his first tournament after a 20 month drought in May 1998. Maybe the purchase of the car (1st rego in Feb 1998) helped him master these dire straits.

Ah yes, I suppose its logical Graham meant a golf magazine - I assumed a BMW/ Car magazine
CODE magazine, issued by BMW @ the B´ham Motor Show (22.10.1998-1.11.1998) has this picture on p. 6:

*Even more awestruck by Reinhard than previously*

So just last week I went to a couple dealers to get the service history for my CSi and I was told the previous owner for my car was on TV. So I check it out and stumble upon this article from Baltimore magazine.
Synopsis....great grandson of the founder of Saks 5th Avenue and personal veterinary to the stars including my wife Charlise Theron :). Love his work and even more so since I'm a pet person....I own a kitteh :). I'm actually hoping to reach out to this guy soon, just to share the story of how his car is now in good hands and back to Maryland. Probably take my kitteh to his clinic for her next shots!
Dennis Bergkamp, I think I bought a year between 1993-1995. In those years he played at Inter football club

ZitatIt's also said George Michael and Will Smith owned an E31, but I haven't seen any proof for that yet. Not that I care. It's not like a car suddenly drives better or becomes more attractive once a famous person owned it.
They normally drive worse once GM has owned them, he has a HABIT of parking them in shop windows.
Have we had Clifford Price, AKA Goldie yet? His old 850 was on ebay last week.
Robin Campbell of UB40, his old 850 on ebay, "fully restored", remember it up a while back and was in a tatty state.
