About 9 months ago I started to track down and contact other e31 owners in Norway, the goal was to create a contact network and try to create a social network around these cars in my country.
I was able to get 20+ cars rather quick using various forums and other channels to get to the owners.
After a few months My work load increased so I was not able to follow up as much as I wanted to.
Fortunately for me I got a hold of some true enthusiasts that took it upon themselves to carry on scourcing new owners.
The Norwegian motorist authority was contatcted and they provided us with a complete list of registered e31's in Norway, though no way to identify the owners.
We found that there is 104 e31's in the country, 13 of those are CSI's and there are 2 or 3 Alpinas.
So far we have tracked down more than 65 cars and the list is growing.
All we have spoken to are very positive to what we are doing and we just might be able to create a good e31 network in Norway.
We have also been in contact with Jud an have got his list of cars, and we will also be given access to his database on buildsheets ect.
The goal now is to arrange meetings.
Spring time there will be a small meeting on the west coast of Norway in the city of Stavanger.
We are also thinking about a National/Nordic meeting on the East of Norway sometime during the summer and perhaps talk to the Sweedish and Danish e31 people and see if they are interrested in a joint meeting.
Also we plan on visiting the central europeean meetings and arrange a convoi to get there.
I'm really looking forward to next year.

Veldig bra, kanskje noen av de som bor på østlandet kan komme til dere.
For meg er neppe bilen klar ennu da, jobber ennu med at få benin mixen rett til kompressoren. -

Norwegian list growing
Egil I did some tracing this weekend as well
We are now up to 70 E31 on the list.
This is realy taking shape now, it's gonna be a long winter before we finally can meet up with all these people.
Looking forward to that , even better then cristmas
Hoping we can get something done together with our Scaninavian friends.

Interesting. I love norway. I have been there several times. Once I travelled by bycicle 1400km in three weeks. (Oslo-Stryn-Oslo)Last time in 2000 or 2001 I travelled with an old Ford Escort and used to sleep in a tent or "Hütta" toghether with my girl friend

Just an update of the Norway owner registry.
Slowly growing now, have identified 78 cars and owners
Most owners has been contacted and all are very interested so we believe there is a good chance of really getting a Norwegian E31 group up and going.
We will encourage all of them to use this forum as well as register at Jud's
Job has increased a bit as we also wanted Chassis numbers and pictures of all these cars.
Have collected 68 chassis numbers and pictures of 50 of these car's.
After speaking to many of these owners it seems clear that most of these cares are in VERY good shape and are being well taken care of.Will get back with more details on the statistics on E31 car in Norway later
