Foam set base?
CC67475, built on May 10th, 1999 - 2 days shy of the end of the line. Is #30611 out of 30621 8ers. Unfortunately nothing "Individual" to the car - just one of the youngest kiddos.
Cheers

Checking the build sheet vaguely just now, its pretty identical to my Individual, (other than colour choice), unless I'm missing anything. Quite a nicely equipped car.
Out of interest, other than paint/ upholstery choice, is there often little difference between an Individual and a moderately well equipped non-Individual? TIA.
The choice of options was quite limited because the UK sport was well endowed from the start, hence many cars are equipped much the same.
Here is the options list incl. pricing for 1997 onwards:
Options and prices UK - September 1997 (PDF, 1.3MB)
Individual paintwork and upholstery along with the seat piping became no cost options in 1998, hence the person ordering CC67475 made his/her choice to omit those freebies deliberately. CC67475 was the 2nd to last (and one of only few) UK Sport that came with "standard" interior. Out of 290 cars made in MY 1999 (starting Aug/Sep 1998) 217 were equipped with free Individual offerings either in or out (75%).

Thanks Reinhard!
What about this gem

Seeing is believing...
I´d steer clear

Frightening!
Surely the boys in blue should be told?
123,000 miles mysteriously shrinks to 24,000.
I feel sorry for any genuine buyer, and would inform them of this if there was a way.. (is there a way, does anyone know?!)
What is your proof other than a "possibly by accident" inserted picture of an instrument cluster which belonged to an "entirely different" car?
I am not sure that an old Ebay printout will be any help here although clearly the pictures used then and today are identical.
Other than in the US ads in Europe usually do not show the VIN which may provide better evidence.
I´d bet a fiver that the now/then owner´d be able to hand over a service log book for proof.
We had a CSi last year with this one:
Quite a few missing stamps, all the same pen, handwriting, signature, lots of service for 1 year of a 18 yr old car....
You stand no chance other than collecting, archiving, comparing, warning...

Agreed, my question was rhetorical really.

Reason I felt more affronted than usual is because the bidding has already got quite high.. one can feel sorry for the 'unknown bidder' in those circs.

It can be pointed out to ebay, at least some vulnerable punter wouldn't get stung.
The ad opening page has a 'report item' button
Well who reported it?
No longer available...
Hhmm, i wondered if as the seller claims is an 8 series boff???, they may have come on here & observed their unfolding plot?
Well done to whoever pointed out the obvious "error" to eBay. The seller seems to ooze attitude in the wording of the listing - a huge put-off for me whenever I read such ads.
If, as he states he "repairs these for a living" either he has rather low living standards or he's Gerry's alter-ego
