Parts catalogue - BMW Classic

  • Most of you will likely not have seen the latest offering of BMW Classic. They have now begun to sell spare parts themselves and although they´re currently only offering this for the German market their website is useful to determine up-to-date pricing for spare parts.
I think it is likely that other languages/markets will follow suit but they are new to this business and will have to learn to cater for online customers first :harhar:

In case the above link does not lead to the parts catalogue follow this one and use your intuition. ;)

Prices indicated include 19% VAT and also indicate the (general) availability of parts. "E" or "AE" means gone for good

Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN as indicated:

Then either enter the desired part number after clicking "Suche nach Teilenummer" or follow the graphical path to select the desired parts page - e.g. front EDC shocks:

Whoever feels he is getting shafted by his dealer can either take this printout with him or (likely better) ask one of us German guys to act as a relay. Items costing more than 1k EUR will be difficult to ship outside the EU (customs handling gets complicated there). VAT will normally not be deductable but within the EU borders there won´t be additional taxes etc. upon import. Different situation for those in e.g. Norway where at least the local VAT likely has to be added on top of the sales and shipping cost (don´t know about import taxes). It may nevertheless be a lot cheaper than buying up North.

  • Thanks Reinhard.

I'm peering carefully at the loudspeaker section already but finding it very hard to even spot the midrange/ tweeters in the rear enclosures, never mind decipher part No's or availability.

1 or 2 of the speakers in my car are sounding a little fuzzy and ideally i'd like to swap them all out for new ones but I think I need to go on an exploded-diagram induction course or something

  • The rear ones are on page 65_0158.
All of them are available separately

Items 14-16 on the diagram show the three units installed.

Those in fact are dirt cheap Nokia chassis and I´d rather try to find them elsewhere than buying them for the prices quoted

    Tweeter: 8375085 - 45 EUR
    Mid: 1382957 - 50 EUR
    Bass: 1392381 - 61 EUR

Each of those is probably worth 2 EUR.... or maybe all together.

    Cheers
    Reinhard

  • Ahhhhhh.. got it now.. thanks. :top:

No price shown next to the tweeter as it happens.
Sorry to waste more of your time but do you know if the prices that are shown relate to a single speaker, or the pair?

  • I´ve seen the tweeter missing but it is shown as available here

This is probably a "maybe available" with the tendency to NLA. You´d have to ring up a dealer to find out whether any stock is left and where.

EPC/ETK prices are always for 1 unit and yes, I know you did not want to hear that

    Cheers
    Reinhard

PS: if ordering through a dealership one is sometimes confronted with a "packaging unit" (VE in German) which may be up to 10 pcs - of course they will cost 10x the price then... Applies mostly to fasteners, screws and nuts etc.

  • Grrr at those prices. Thanks for helping though Reinhard. I'd much rather swap in some aftermarket speakers but even if you could find ones that fit (unlikely) there is a complication relating to the need to (I quote) "remove any passive crossover components from any speakers you buy, as they will degrade the final sound". When I asked my local high street audio fitters about this, they looked haunted and started throwing me meaningful looks towards the door.

Anyway, this is off-topic.. pardon me

  • Remove one speaker, IIRC just one screw from above (grille needs to be removed first - pulls up) plus the plug underneath parcel shelf.
Unscrew chassis - jot down Nokia part number and start hunting.
A few years back they were still available as overstock items. May have changed by now.

I am no expert in anything HiFi but others will probably know what a replacement chassis ought to be like apart from fitting the hole.

    Reinhard

  • Thanks for that tip Reinhard. Just combed eBay but nothing currently.. going to broaden search to Euro-wide as my next step. At last resort, i'll buy new as soon as i can resolve exactly which speakers are crumbling or blown.
