As for "S782 Throwing star wheels" - this likely is a recycled option and the translation clearly wrong. Some of the option codes have been reused after a couple of years and this way BMW managed to introduce amazing inconsistencies. If requesting individual data today you will also see E31´s with "Hill Descent Control" or "MD-drives".

The piping to the seat and headrest on the other hand: Sonderpolsterung/Special upholstery

But the piping has a strange appearance
Left: CC67310 - right OEM piping
As if the seat piping was flatter, bigger, out of round:

It is maybe just me but I think that the piping was added later on, possibly during reupholstery of worn seats (must have cost a bit). Alternatively the car received seats from another car.

Nevertheless the car seems cheap for (not quite) "The very last 8 series CI Sport T Reg"

How many produced after this one Reinhard? I know there are V plate UK cars which doesn't really mean a great deal but just curious

I take it that's 1st Dec 98 and not 12th Jan 98?
