Would something like this work for the rears? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-…8f5e7f:g:lD8AAOSwGotWq2f7

Don't know...
but if I see the very little contact area leftover between wheel and hub, then I don't like it at all -
I see your point, they are too generic, hence all the holes and gaps. I need to find specific ones like the ones on Wolf's post.

Now I've got my car back, I need to get my new wheels on there. I've ordered 10mm H&R spacers for the fronts to correct the offset problem (due to my throwing stars being for the e34) but I'm guessing I can get away with a 3mm difference at the rear.
Next step is to sort tyres. I've looked at Timm's excellent tyre page (http://www.meeknet.co.uk/e31/t…w_wheel_and_tyre_page.htm - loving your work my friend) and I can see which tyres are compatible, but I'm not sure which size to buy. I was perusing our American friends' forum and the general consensus was to go for 245 fronts and 275 rear for my setup. That seems in range according to Timm's page, but for the rears 275 wasn't specified so I don't know whether they should be 35 or 40 aspect?
Looking at blackcircles.com I see plenty of choice for 245/45/17, but no options at 275/35/17 and only one (Falkens) at 275/40/17.
Any advice on size and brand would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't like 245 on the front, the steering was less precise - so I went back to 235/40 and 265/35 on 18" rims....
-
Thanks Timm. Mine are 17s, so I'll go with 235/45 and 265/40. Any views on Falkens?

I just bought my third set of Falkens for my cars. One of them (the old FK452) is still on my E31.
Nothing wrong to report -
I'm a Falken fan a well.....

I'm a Falken fan a well.....
And me. A very decent above average and well priced tyre. Just a shame they won't be going on nice rims

Thanks guys. I've got 4 winging their way to me. £310 from tyreleader.com. Nice.

The Falkens are great, thanks chaps. Tyreleader.com is cheap but very slow (rears took almost 2 weeks).
Throwing Stars are looking great, Graham is too fixated with his grandad turbines to see what great wheels they are.
