As the title suggest my driver seat is twisting when asked to raise. I believe its a common problem so can someone point me in the direction of a repair process.
Driver seat twist

Yes it’s a common issue. There was a tutorial with pictures somewhere but right now i can’t find it…
I have done mine, so I try to describe…
There are two cables, one on each side of the seat, transmitting the rotation movement of the drive located under the front part of the seat to the seat lifting mechanism located on each side of the seat.
The cables are terminated with a male square section that should enter in the female counterpart on the drive.
( like on old motercycle speedometer if you know that)
The problem is that either the cables shorten with the time or, I think rather the sleeves extends with age.
As a consequence, the square section at the end of the cable is no longer inside the female counterpart.
You have to shorten the sleeves to solve this issue
To do this, I have removed the seats and turned them upside down on the garage floor.
I believe it can also be done without removing them, but in any case was a good opportunity to clean underneath
