Sorry about the size!
Retro fitting a rear spoiler
-
-
Do you mean the radius of the boot lid?
-
Heres another pic
-
These pictures are with it resting in place. Naturally the wire is kicking it up a bit
-
If you look at Steve's first picture it sits right back so the vertical planes of the spoiler and lid would converge if there was no radius...
Or simply bring it along next weekend and we an all see....
-
Good idea!
-
Well, with the extra brake light at top it might well help keep some idiot from rear-ending you in a roundabout!
-
I'm not personally into spoilers but each to their own but like Alex said bring it along on the weekend and we can all see it in the flesh
-
I will add that Gripfill is ment for sticking skirting, battens etc and when removed take a chunk of plaster with it . An option would be clear silocone, the type for glazing, sticks like sh!t and squezes up a treat, unlike Gripfill, and can be removed, unlike yada yada.

I was actually given a tube of black seam seller which can also be used to bond spoiler etc. Maybe I will put this it the boot also.
Wayne as you have probably guess I am still unsure about the spoiler so we can all debate this on Sunday.
-
If it is the correct spoiler, looking vertically down on it, the forward edge should follow the curve of bottom of the rear screen exactly.
-
I was planning to get this painted this week in a body shop.
I did give it a quick coat myself to help me make up my mind (not good enough to fit ). I guess what i am saying is that I will bring it to the meeting on Sunday and leave it in its rough state until I make up my mind and save the £100 painting cost until I am really sure.
