oooooh errrrrrr!!...kept that on the QT!!

I'm sorry Guys , but I did tell you it was on the cards
You see, for the past 3 months I've been having an afair with a girl called Alpina Today I took my old girl 840 out for a picture shoot, well to say she didn't impress me much would be rather kind, more like I don't love her anymore, a bit like when I realised there was some thing better around the corner prior to Divorce .
I love the way see looks, but she doesn't go like the younger Alpina model, so what with me not lusting after the old supercharged lady anymore I felt it may be better to let her try & find a new lover
Of corse I will be screenining any seemingly suitable partners.
If she does decide to leave then for sure I'll always drop in for a chat

Good luck with the sale Steve, lets hope the new owner will care for it like the way you have.
-
That reminds me...
...of the MS Windows help desk response to the guy upgrading from Girlfriend 4.3 to Wife 1.0 (many examples on the net, of which this is just one):
-
Sorry to see her go. Make sure the new owner finds its way here. Good luck on the sale.

Any bites yet Steve?
-
Many enquires, but too many "Knob heads" with the opening line " How much will you take for it mate" It's early days but I've a feeling deep down that she won't be going anywhere .
I've done 2 Test drives & must admit that a little of the "lost love" returned each time, so it is easy to turn away unsuitable new owners -
Well lets get a meet together and you will be smitten again Steve
-
In the old days of company cars I had a new 840 on a T plate in wait for it, Romantic Red. [ I think someone called Al ,has a few pics of it in his album!!!] Chopped it in for an XJR and regretted that moment ever since. Strange old buses the 840's as I cant even now think of anything I would rather have, bearing in mind running costs, depreciation and all round enjoyment.
I have a feeling you could be owning it for a few years yet! -
Sad news Steve but as you had indicated in another post the writing was on the wall. As Wayne said lets get a meet set up as I would love to have a good look at the car
-
Well I've woken up & smelt the coffee & withdrawn the car from sale.
I really don't think I could have bared to see the car pulling out of my garage for the last time, so I promise not to be such a silly bugger in future
-
Nice one Steve
-
Hurray well done Steve the best news I have had all day (been planning how to manage thursdays teacher strike)
Now lets sort out a meet!
-
-
Should'av sold it ....AND GOT YOURSELF A V12!!!
-
-
AAAWWW!! I've got a warm fuzzy feeling again..
Glad you made the right choice Steve....
-
. The real reason you cant sell it is cos you wouldnt get the same good natured banter as you do right here. One thing that stands out on a couple of the other foums is they can get a bit heated/nasty at times, good for a laugh watching from the side lines but i for one would rather the humor of this site. I also thought about selling the 8, i'll still be getting another car but instead of replacing...will be joining the 8 .
