Something here that may be of interest to anyone that plays computer games, it is a car forum after all, so there's got to be some driving game fans.
A little preview of something I've been working on

Any gamers here?

looking good
Burnout (in pretty much all it's versions, except 'Paradise') is my favourite style of race game. Mindless fun, no blinking and most definitely not a staid driving simulator.
Hope this title lives upto the trailer video ????

Here's a video actually showing some gameplay.

There's plenty more to be shown in the coming months. -

Big time gamer here. Mostly driving simulation.
Started in the eighties with a Sinclair Spectrum and Codemasters publications like Crazy Cars on cassette!
In 1992 moved onto a PC (a 386) with Indionapolis 500 and Stunt Car Driver.
Then, on day of release, the original Gran Turismo. Followed by GT2, GT3, GT4 and i'm itching for GT5, just announced for November 2nd this year.
I'm interested in the current Forza vs. Gran Turismo debate.
My playstation is used for three games alone - Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty and the Gran Turismo series..... end of!
One day I will grow out of it!
Used to play 'Driver' in my PS1 days (with good memories of it) but it has sort of passed me by lately....

some games yes, mainly FPS such as Doom (all incarnations thereof, esp. D3) and Serious Sam, CoD sometimes too.

I remember Doom. I had Wolfenstein3D on my 386 which was the Doom prequel!
So many wasted hours
-
I used to play Wolfenstein whilst at work - at that time I worked for a company in Hamburg, one day I got busted by the boss who demanded to know what I was doing - he wasn't at all tech-savvy and I bluffed my way out of it by explaining that I was merely testing a new piece of screen saver software
Can't believe I got away with that one
PS, if you want to remind yourself how good(?) the original Doom games were check out zdoom (Google for it), it runs beautifully on windows -

http://driver.uk.ubi.com/teaser/Herminator; I remember the original DRIVER, and played that to death. But Grand Theft came along and destroyed DRIVER overnight.
What has the latest DRIVER got over GTA IV?
-
I'm more of a Forza fan than GT. The GT series got a bit too sterile after the first two, the roads are too often like perfectly smooth ribbons and the cars steering suffers when using a joypad. But GT5 does look interesting, I'd probably have to play it with a wheel though.
Driver has had a tricky time with the constant cimparisons to GTA, this new one has moved much further away from the GTA series because as the name of the game suggests, it should be all about the driving. The handling is something that should make this game stand out.
