Swedish international 8er meeting

It's nice to see some to succes in these meetings We are currently strugling to get our own local meeting together with finnish owners. Everybody always seems to have so much else to do, so it's every time hard to find a good day that suits to most. Our meeting though is more of an unofficial meeting loosely arranged in one of our local finnish BMW enthusiast forum just to meet in same place. So far we managed to get almost "whopping" ten 8ers to our last summer meeting, two of them CSIs. This summer we try to beat the ten, but let's see what happens. Atleast three of them would be CSIs this year, maybe even four

Maybe some day we'll encourage us to join our fellows across the sea

edit: I added some pics from our last summer's meeting. There were more 8ers in the beginning but some of them left before these pics were taken.

Time magically opened up in my calendar this weekend, so it looks like i'll be joining you guys after all, just awaiting final confirmation from the Hotel. I'll meet up with the herd at Sandefjord

@Egil: what about you? Did the shop make it as promised?

Car is ready , it has oil up to upper mark , new coolant , new radiator hoses , 21W bulb in the FTP's , Check OK.

Need a quick wash and pack it up tonight , leaving 05.30 tomorrow morning will meet all at Sandefjord for the Ferry to Sweden.

Have a safe trip Terje.
I'm about to leave at 2pm today and may be wash and vacuum my car before
Most likely useless looking at the weather and a 1000km trip.

Tonight I'm staying at a friends place in Bremen having BBQ and watch the German socker team beat the shit out of Oranje. 2morrow I'll meet the Swiss connection a little north of Hamburg and then Germans and Helvetians will invade Sweden.

Car is ready sometime today.
I had a look at it yesterday evening and the engine was done and the gearbox was on the car.
The engine was still suspended in a jig, and the exhaust was not installed yet.

I guess I will pick it up before 4 this afternoon, after it has been completed and test driven.

Sadly this means that I won't be able to get the car prepped in any way (cleaning), or fit your TCC unit (will bring it with me though).
Also I won't be there a head of time to install my CSi kit either.
But at least I will be there.

Important is that you will be there and cleaning the car is a waste of time. We all know what a clean E31 looks like And an E31 which is being driven gets dirty, that's normal.
BTW, as said before, you can easily fit the TCC if you want to test it on the way. Swap it simply against the current EGS and for testing purpose run the cable with the switch though the rear window. That's my standard test setup.
