Does anyone know where i can get car mats for my 8?
Car Mats?

A BMW dealer would be the obvious choice but im sure they will be expensive. I have some nice ones colour coded to the interior or my car, look very nice.
Failing that, all decent car shops do nice mats that are universal.
I would be interested to know how you get on.

I got them to make my mats. Colour coded to suit the car; aluminium kickplate. I am very pleased with the results. The kickplate scratches easily though but the fabric is easy to clean and looks great after a year. All in for just less than £100.

I have just ordered my mats from autostyle.Cheers Phil. They are much cheaper than BMW and i can have what ever i want. Will let every one know how well they turn out.Cheers Karl

Heres the picture as promised of the new mats.I kept the design nice and simple as this seems to have brought the interior together nicely.Bought them off autostyle.co.uk for £51.

thanks for the tips on the mats. Mine are a bit grubby. I'll let the washing machine have first rights, then if that fails, onto the credit card.
I likr the idea of designing my own, maybe matching the carpets and having the binding match the exterior. -

saw this abit late.. hope you haven't stuck your mats in the washing machine. If you still haven't DONT. I did it for a lesser name make that shall go unamed after the missus parked some chicken madras on them!! Basically I knackered them and had to get Autostyle to make me a set of new ones

Hi Phil
Thanks for the tip. It did come too late, but no matter. The set I washed, successfully I hasten to add, were supplied by BMW to the previous owner. Although the washing machine couldn't repair the wear and tear it did clean them well (at 40°). They are a good spare set.I had new ones made anyway, grey mats, burgundy binding to near-enough match the paintwork, "8-series" logo and metal protection from wear at the heels. They look the dogs b's!

Hi Karl,
what type have you choose?
Maxmat, Premier or Diplomat?Thanks
-
I went for the Premier because of the better colour range, then went the whole hog and had Alloy Supaslot kickplate and "8 Series" logo. £127 inc delivery.

thank you, peter. I think that I will buy Diplomat with only driver carpet heelpads and logos '8 series'.
Premier mats is expensive compare to BMW mats.
Could you post a pic of your mats?

Hi guys
some pics of mine.. From Autostyle... 1+ year old
Not a great pic - mats close to Oxford Green with grey binding - kick plate scratches very easily and soon looks dull
Clean easily. Managed to scrub off chewing gum from a back mat without too much trouble
Very happy with my purchase

here are the mats described earlier. No comments about the worn door seals please, I've only had the car a while and there's a list as long as my.... of things that need doing.
