here's what happens when you spend 3 hours washing, drying, claying and waxing (x2) on an apperently perfect sunny afternoon in June. Drive home, park in drive, look at it, marvel at it, and then look up, look down, head in hands, cry.............
Why it is pointless to wash your car in the UK

Unfortunately you need to buy a cover. I don't have a garage so its the cover ever night and day if the cars not being used.

Now that's what you call water beading Harly Wax
Thought you were goin on Holiday I'm off for 2wks on Sunday, It's going to be bloody quite on here then
-
yeah that's the Harly Wax. Not bad eh? I've bought so many different types of wax but this one is the best yet.
Off on my hols on Saturday morning. Not had one for two years so it had better be sunny there !! Have a good one Steve.
-
Must admit on tonys recommendation I also use the old Harly wax and can vouch for it no end! Great stuff and a cinch to apply and remove
-
I would not be happy!
Cheers

Tony can you let me know where I can get some of the Harly wax? she's going into the body shop this week and I know I will want to wax her myself when she comes out ..... you know how it is!!
Enjoy the holiday!

hi Steve,
this is the guy I bought mine from.....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HARLY-WA…3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
costs a bit more than some stuff you could buy at Halfords (but not excessive), and I personally think it is excellent, as do a few others on here. Autoglym also gets a lot of praise, but I havent tried that so cant comment.
It really is a revelation over the standard Turtle Wax I was brought up on (thanks for nothing dad !) with no white powdery residue when buffing. I give mine two coats 24hrs apart, and then your shell is hard as nails !!
-
After spending several hours reading through detailing world I've bought some collinite 915, a lot of detailers are using it and really recommend it, but only time will tell. It arrived this morning so I maybe give it a go on the weekend.
-
buying and trying different waxes for me is like doing the same for tyres - often a trial and error task you end up spend way over the odds when you combine the cost of everything you ever tried !
also a bit like Standard, Silver, and Gold Membership Areas..... you always have a nagging feeling that there is something better out there which you havent found yet, however good the current stuff is !! Now where can I get the Platinum area............???
But anyway, what's the point when the heavens open and pi$$ all over your hard work ........

Don't even go there I bought some Zymol HD cleanse the other day @ £34 because the last stuff I was using was real hard work, and this stuff is even harder, so another product sitting on the shelf, but not to despair as I've ordered an all singing all dancing polisher, roll on the weekend
-
Tony thanks for that - Good o'l turtle wax!! yes I was brought up with that as well used it on my old 323i
