Ebay draft ad
After 7+ years of ownership it is time to move on!!....These cars are just starting to creep up in value and finding a genuine loved one is getting hard.
This car was the feature 850 in BMW magazine celebrating the 20th anniversary. (You get a copy of the magazine with the car). This 1991 850i auto (V12) that was supplied by Coopers..
Private plate B5O UK included ££££’s
New front side lights (£250 each!) x 2
Stainless steel exhaust including CATS
Spotted and Grooved brake disc’s and new pads (90%+)
18” Alpina rims £2000+ (very little road rash) with Falken tyres
BMW Sports kits (front lower spoiler, rear diffuser etc.).
Sports interior (fully electric front seats)
CSI suspension springs
Bilsteins dampers all-round
Camber plates (Phoenix motorsport)
Top engine rebuild – New valve stem seals, rockers, lifters and gaskets
Very Clean engine
New arch plastic linings
New centre consul
CD changer (BMW original equip)
LED interior lighting (White)
New wipers x 2
New petrol lines front to back 4 off
New fuel filters x 2
Banjo bolts on the camshaft oil ways (Replaced & wired)
Poly Bushes on lower front suspension arms
New alternator
Billet Alley pulley (Phoenix Motorsport)
Up-rated Differential to M5 LSD with higher ratio!! Not exactly scolded cat but certainly livens her up.... 0-60........
Mileage 165k although she drives like a low mileage car because of all the above work.
Always flys through MOT with no advisories.
As you can appreciate I serviced her myself (qualified engineer with access to a high spec work shop)or at Phoenix motorsport for the suspension work ( the number 1 repair specialists!).
Work was carried out to maintain and improve was where necessary to keep this car looking as good as possible.
There is a little rust in a couple of spots but for a car 21+ years old it’s in great shape. Its does not go to the supermarket so no little trolley dents!
There are probably a few other things I have forgotten about but please ask me any questions..... email.. -
Text reads fine to me. Right balance of enthusiast v technically proficient owner. Good luck man, 4 seems low. Thought it had already been up earlier in this thread..?

Hope it sell this time Lloyd, sorry to here about the redundancy. Bit of an iffy situation at work here too, might be following your lead in a few months.
-
Hi Lloyd,
Always a shame to have to move on under these circumstances.
It is an impressive list and comes across with honesty. At the end, the reference to rust comes across almost as a 'throw away' comment and I wonder whether you ought to be either more specific about it or don't mention it at all.
I couldn't help thinking that the sum of the parts would likely exceed £4K and think it is a bit too competitive for its heritage. Let the rubbish sell for £4K.
Good luck Lloyd

Lloyd!!! So sorry. Times are incredibly tough at the moment. I am looking at reducing salaries by 15-20% at the moment. trying to hold on until after xmas!!
The advert reads really well just don't forget anything even the smallest parts...
£4k is too low for yours.... Number plate has got to be £1500 all day long.
When I tried mine on ebay the first time I started at £3k, too low!!Up yours by at least £1k and Flickr is good for supersize piccies...
All the best mate... Shout if you need anything....
Alex

Hi mate, the advert seems fine, I would also try putting it on autotrader and increase to atleast £4,995, yours is far better than alot for sale.
I really wish you the best mate, hope your not out of a job for long, these are tough times.
You've got my number if you need anything.
On a side note if you've got any spares that you want shifting let me know I may need them.
All the best.
Wayne.

I will Wayne when she goes I have a shed full of stuff!

Any joy yet Lloyd? I put mine on PH a couple of months ago and had no end of scam calls and a couple of no shows.
Or offers at £5000 without even seeing the car. Pillocks -

Hi Lloyd....
You really need to supersize those pictures....At least 1500 to 2000 pixies!!
Alex
-
Alex to be honest I will have to look how to do that as its the first thing I have tried to sell on ebay. I have 3 people asked to come and see it and 3 want to buy just the wheels!
-
Bit too early to say for sure, but I'm guessing the Shrewsbury factor (think: Deliverance) may be the reason Sangwich's ad attracted only two confused old ladies, a number of fantasists, several heavy breathers and a dog.
-
Hope you wont sell it and I asked about the wheels for a friend.
