Swedish international 8er meeting

  • We will leave in 3 hrs from Switzerland to Sweden :top:

But.... we will come not with our 8
We will come by 5 as we extend our trip.... but at least we will be with you at the Meeting and have a wounderful time with all of you, no matter what the Weather will be :dontknow:

I am also looking forward to the fine swedish Fish :eating:

  • Hi everyone,

Hoping you have good times and please shoot pics and post them. I want to see them all.:top:

Say hi to Janne from me. I'll try to call him.

Hoping to see you soon:driver: and drive safely

Wolf you think the germans will beat the dutch... you shouldn't be so sure. The dutch have to win or they are out of the competition. That's going to be a very good match anyway. BTW the germans were very lucky against the portuguese they could have beaten you. But like Lineker said once : football is a game with 2 teams and the germans always win:rofl:

Fredi how come you don't drive the 8 serie?

    Take care

Que la 8 soit avec vous!:driver:
May the 8 be with you and for always!:winkwink:

BTW, as said before, you can easily fit the TCC if you want to test it on the way. Swap it simply against the current EGS and for testing purpose run the cable with the switch though the rear window. That's my standard test setup. ;)

I will drive to Sweden with my stock setup, and fit the TCC in Sweden and test it on my way home, that way I can see the difference in performance/consumption too.

I also told you I can easily run it through my medical box, as I now have a subwoofer vent where that used to be, no need to use windows or external wiring.

  • Here are my pics from the meet. Forgot my memorycard for the camera on saturday, so it was somewhat limited coverage. I promise i'll remember it next year ;) I can provide full-size pictures if anyone wants, i'll also put up some edited versions of some of them later.

EDIT: To get fullsize, mouseover the pictures in the album and an icon comes in the top right corner. Click the right side one for fullsize, left one for download. I also have tons of video from the trip, i'll try to have it edited asap :)

EDIT2: I have actually already uploaded one from my phone, Egils new straight pipe exhaust:

  • Hi folks,

also from my side the warmest thanks to the organisation team but also to all participants. It has been the 2nd int. E31 meeting for me and I already feel like being a member of a great family.
Fabrice, Antonin and all others who didn't attend: You missed another great event.
To me personally one of the absolute highlights has been driving Pal's absolutely stunning B12 for roughly 200km. :driver:
My special thanks to him for putting so much trust into me. :top:

I do not have too many plans for the coming years but one thing is clear: I'll for sure attend all future int. E31 meetings in Europe and am already looking forward to the Vienna meeting next year.

Cheers to all and take care of your beauties and of yourself.

    Wolf

P.S. Terje, many thanks again for the sun glasses. My wife as well as my kids love them - and so of course do I.

  • Hi
I would like to thank all participants for your participation and that you helped out and made the meeting.
Pictures coming as soon as I get some spare time so I can sort the pictures I have taken.

Now we hope that it will be a meeting in Denmark shortly.:help::devilchilli:

  • I'm back home, and it was a great meeting, nice to see so many of you again, and all the new people I met.

My trip was not trouble free, my aftermarket alarm refused to work so I had to catch a ride with someone else on day two.
Managed to get the alarm disabled so I'm able to use the car.
Thanks to Pelle for getting me the CSi kit, my car now looks stunning :top:
Also my new exhaust did not sound as expected so I am doing some changes to that, I guess this is what happens when you get the car back from the shop at 5 PM the day before you leave.

All in all a great meeting, thanks to the people who made it happen

  • Dear 8ers,:winkwink:

I am so glad that you enjoyed your meeting and it's really up to you to make it as pleasant as possible. Hoping that our community can go strong all other the world. This is our strengh to carry on.
I can tell you now that the french club is official among the BCE community and was recently approved by the BMW Clubs Int Council.
Hoping that will give ideas to you...:top:

Que la 8 soit avec vous!:driver:

Congrats on that Fabrice although I admit that I don't give a sh... if we are approved or not. It's a great community here and that's what counts to me and not what some bureaucrats in Munich or elsewhere may thing about us (or not think).
Let's continue having such great meetings and we're all set IMO :devilchilli:

  • Huge thanks from the Danish delegation, for a nice, interesting and very successful weekend - a fabulous continuation of the excellent meeting in Norway last year, which was our E31 debut.:top:
Hope to see all of you again at future E31 gatherings.
PS. Also the ride home was interesting, among other things, we went past the "candy plane" where candy enough for a small village was purchased - most of it of Danish origin - to 1/3 of the price in Denmark – who understand world economy:banghead:

    I think you should :)
Like we said, we don't need much, just a hotel and a safe place to put the cars.

And a tour of the Carlsberg factory :top:
