Norwegian West coast Tour 2015

  • I can only Double this and say thanks for this really Wunderfull Trip over the week which will Be one of the ever best Tours at all. So no question, if you ever plan a further norwegian Tour, we will Be glad to join

Funny enough, after about 3 Hrs driving towards Trondheim, Manuela tells me that Christer and Emilia probably came around the Bend on their way to north and........ There they are :) and are just coming from the right

Arriving in Trondheim, we found our self in middle of the American Car Meeting celebrating their 40 year Meeting.
So today we spend some Hrs on their meeting watching beautiful Cars over and over, we had to park our british Made a Little beside, but the Place filled such, that we where soon part of the Meeting, but we had to leave around noon to get on Then wie had to make sure, we will not miss the Astronaut Academy :whistle:
So I was Handed out the Official Astronaut Certificate issued by the norwegian...... "Flaklypa Astronaut Academic of Alvdal" Right :stupido2:

  • I would like to thank all participants for making this a great tour where we had an excellent time together with our friends.:top:
Great driving experience and nice views on the route as well as decent weather, possibly we will plan a new tour in the future but for now we need enjoy the memories.
When driving up these small winding roads only seeing 8ers in front of me I fully understood what the 8er does best is being a grand tourer bringing people together.
While the 8er was a solitary creature it now appears in a heard, guess BMW never expected that :driver:

Please share pictures , I will add some of mine soon.

    Thanks to all
    Terje

  • Some pictures coming, but I see there is already a lot posted on facebook.

  • We just arrived at home after this magnificent week and would like to thank all of you for the wonderful days. :top:
Thanks to everyone who was involved in the organisation of this event. It was one of the best 8 Meetings ever. :adore:
I will sort trough my images in the next days and put some up here. (first a lot of :sleep2: tough...)

    Cheers
    Lilly & Steve

  • Back in my home(-office), too, and very very happy to have participated this exciting tour. Warmest Thankyou for all who have organized this top event.
And what has been absolutely new?
When Norwegians command "Engine must start at 08:00 a.m.", then ... they go and 08:03 the parking is empty.

    Skol: Armin with Lucia

PS: Remarkable classical hotels all, but best is "Kvikne's" in Balestrand, a dream.

  • Arrived home yesterday evening. After 1 week in Norway, 140kph on the autobahn feels like the speed of sound!

WoW! What a great tour! It feels strange, not to be driving the 8 on this time of the day... It was a wonderful experience. Laughed a lot, very good hotels and the food...well, I guess I gained some kilos! :boink:

Thanks for the organization! You made a very very good trip. What a beautiful country!

Keep the photos coming, I am working on the film now!

    @ Martin:
Sorry, due to my :santaclaus: age, I didn't understand how to manage the ftp. Where to copy into the Windows Explorer? :stupido:

Doesn't seem to work for me either. Windows Explorer is the window that opens when you click on 'My Computer' or when you 'explore' (example: C:\my documents\) your files on your computer. If I use the link, the link automatically opens in my webbrowser.

Most easy to do is this
Download Cyberduck here: https://cyberduck.io/ (Windows and/or Mac).
Install the program (You do not have to install 'Bonjour' when asked for it).
    Open Cyberduck

The content cannot be displayed because you do not have authorisation to view this content.

Click on "Open Connection" (Your language could be set to German automatically. If not, go to Edit>Preferences>Language).

The content cannot be displayed because you do not have authorisation to view this content.

Copy this information to the pop-up:
    Server: https://www.8er.org
Port: 21 (I guess this is already filled in)
    Username: admin_124
    Password: h1Hirxs84Y3X3bR6

NB: The blue URL you see in this screenshot is automatically filled in by Cyberduck.

    Click 'Connect'

The content cannot be displayed because you do not have authorisation to view this content.

    Click 'Continue'

The content cannot be displayed because you do not have authorisation to view this content.

Now you will see these folders. It is as easy as your normal Windows Explorer. Drag and drop your files into the window and that is it.
If you right-click with your mouse, you can easily make a new folder and drag your photos in this folder.
Depending on your internet connection, it may take a while to download/upload all pictures.

This might seem difficult, but it is only 5 minutes of work
