BMW 8er.org RALLY - VIENNA 2013 - UPDATE

Dear Board Members, friends and colleagues -

Quick update as of today 19.09.2012

So far we are double in attendees to what we initially expected - so I am modifying the daily time schedule and events to accommodate the size and travel speed of the walking group and the convoy.

My goal is to make it practical, organized and fun - but informal with more active/driving time and less meeting and sitting time.

Based on the various arrival times, high cost and long drives on Friday - circumstances have decided against a sit-down dinner - we will have a reception desk with welcome drinks and snacks in the lobby - followed by a casual city-overlook Heuriger dinner within walking distance of the hotel starting at 1900 or an ala carte dinner in the hotel at your own time - whichever choice suits you best.

Saturday and Sunday will be early breakfasts 0700-0800 and early
convoy departures to the city, castles and KREUZRITTERFEST - maps and brochures will be part of your RALLY PACKET - with options for stragglers or lone rangers who do not wish to follow the planned itinerary.

For those staying over until Monday - you are invited to the Kingston Ranch for a little BON VOYAGE festivity.

Hi Fredi, Wolf and Terje -

Yes, of course - this is still the short form list - will collate and post it in alphabetical table form including nationality and all the other data I requested.

Based on the turn-out and my discussions with Fredi:

1. It looks like we will be hiring a bus for the city tour on SAT due to the large turn-out which will make driving and parking our cars to multiple sites downtown virtually impossible.

2. There will be no board meeting during this event.

3. We will have to collect a small registration fee on Friday during check-in of circa 35 Euro per adult attendee to cover the cost of the bus and incidentals - we saved much more than this per room on the hotel deal.

4. Since the room rate is fixed at 100 Euro standard or 110 Euro business class - if two or three friends wish to stay in one room - they will save 100 to 200 Euro between them.
