Looking good Tony - do you need a resistor to fool the OBD?
What's the part number for the latest bulb and where would I get hold of these?
Cheers,
Jason

and yes, you do need a resistor wired in parallel to the sidelight. I am using a 22ohm ceramic one (50p from Maplin).
Audi R8 lights........ eat your heart out
looks good just ordered a set
Thanks for the heads up
Rear ones might look really good! I might try some bluey ones in the rear red driving lights to get a sort of near infra red colour
Nath
The eBay guy should pay you commission Tony, he's just sold another set to me
Cheers
Jason
Not more Tony , I am leaving mine well alone as they are working great.
Yeah your probably right
Oh well in a split second of madness I have just bought them
Received and fitted today they are brighter than my last
Cheers Tony.

I now get 'free postage' on all orders under 10 items from this guy on ebay Seriously, I jokingly asked for commission, after I explained why he was selling his bulbs faster yesterday.....
I knew you'd buckle Wayne
The reason I got these was cos the Matrix II bulbs were poorly made. Very unstable and banks of bulbs would burn out, or flicker. I contacted the supplier about this and they said bluntly that they dont warranty them which annoyed me somewhat. They are off my Xmas list now.
I still want to redesign the rear light clusters, but am waiting for a decent set to come on ebay, at a good price, before I start tinkering. Got this idea of having banks of high output LEDs set just behind the lense wall, and thus not needing the reflectors. May also mill out sections of the red plastic lense and replace with clear, for indicator and reverse sections. But to do this need a spare set so I can work on them out of the car, and if I bodge it then I still have my originals.
Well thats it for light mods for me (I think) , well apart from the interior vent & HVAC upgrade when I get around to it.

Great idea. Not to gloat, but I actually was thinking about doing that exact same process too! Another idea is to find that fully clear set of tail lights that I believe M Turbo found and posted in the Carbon Fiber Post. You wouldn't need to mill then. All you would have to do is mask the turn signal indicators and reverse lights and just airbrush the running and brake light sections with a few coats of Testors clear red paint. Then spray a few coats of gloss or matte coat to seal it. Then just insert you LED banks. I hope you can do it.
Tony as I want to tint the front side light (like the indicators) these should help keep the brightness up cheers I'll log on now and order some.
New LED Blubs arrived yesterday, Tony - they look like the dog's dangley bits, well chuffed. Now all I need to get sorted is an HID conversion kit
Jason
I'm happy everyones happy
Might have to use my new discounted rate and fill the rear clusters with these bulbs !
I've also ordered them, stupid question but where do you actually put a resistor? in the bulb holder ? sorry but i am not an expert.

The way your going Tony they will end up being brighter than the HID's.
Tony how reliable are you finding them? You mentioned that you had some failures at the meet on 11th
