Also got a bright blue, 1982 Austin mini van - not been on the road for a while, got a metro with a good 1.3 engine - will get round to putting it in the mini one day!!

Also just obtained a crap black E30 318i which a mate of mine will probably be stripping and it'll prob get wrecked on a trackl somewhere!! Only bought it for the interior/air con/rear leccy windows!!!!!

Did have just the 850CSi on the road for a couple of years though and put massive mileage on it - with a big grin on my face!!!

I go to work (secondary school) in a bashed 1993, 900cc Cinquecento.
Its value is about 10p per cc.
The kids recon I'm a bit of a "tramp" (their words) for driving such a vehicle.
Upside - park where I like, don't care if it's scratched, cheap to commute in, throw it away when it breaks.
If the same kids see me about town in the 840, they recon I'm a "flash bas***d" (again their words and a true sign of respect).
Upside - keeps them guessing - some think I'm an eccentric millionaire!

presently I have 'the 8' as my drive, and my wife has a Focus Estate which is nice and practical for the 'faaaaaamily' stuff

Also got the VW T4 as my surf/skate, and of course, work thing.

Previous VWs inc '74 Jeans Beetle (sadly now very very extinct), Polo (with plenty of holes), and a Mk4 Golf. The T4 keeps me in touch with my past !!

Am in the process of "nit picking" the 850 to fix the little things that have fallen off, been broken or cobbled over time.

Check out the the cool lift ( photos in my album) that I picked up. It allows me to put three cars in my two car garage. The lift with a great hydrolic jack cost less than $2,500.
