Say man, what are you trying to do to us? This is a baaaad omen. I'm going to keep my 850 in the garage for at least 3 months (until this blows over). Back in the 70's I parked my 2800cs (new paint) At the very back of a resturant parking lot ,so it would be safe. Some dumb ass parked his Mercury right next to me, swung his door open and put a nice 3 inch ding in the passanger side door. I was luckier than you ...... his car was still there when I left the resturant ( fresh Fijord blue metallic paint still stuck to the edge of his door). I promptly ( in RAGE!) proceeded to cave his driver door in with two or three powerful kicks. It's too bad you were't able to get your revenge on the dolt that ruined your day.

I know exactly how you feel, believe me. Last week I parked my 840 in the underground car park of the Concorde La Fayette Hotel in Paris.

When I went to collect it I saw that some Frog Tw-t had Ground the bumper of what must have been an SUV into my N/S Rear wing. Not content with hitting it, he'd simply driven forward and scraped the rest of the wing instead of reversing 6" and turning sharper. Is it cos of the UK plates? Or is that just typical Frog arrogance?

That's bad mate. But I do know exactly how you feel. Some Tw@t put a 2 inch dent in my front NS wing a few months back, it's still there as I am waiting for inspiration regarding putting some M3 Carbon Fibre Vents in both wings - they will probably need respraying after that is done anyway ! I've also had half a dozen stereos nicked over the years, with the obligortary brick through rear quarterlight/window.

Whilst it is absolutely no consolation my sister in law's car was keyed last year along with at least 10 other cars down her street, all of which received the full treatment of rear arch to front wing. However, she was treated to a gigantic Cock and Balls in the middle of her bonnet - I kid you not !!!!! I have to admit I struggled to restrain myself when I saw her, and her car (mainly because it didnt happen to me) but I thought this story may at least raise a smile in these dark times.

Hope you catch the little sh*t who did your 8. I would personally stake out the street for a couple of nights as the culprit is almost certainly local - they usually are, and are too stupid to realise that you might go after them.

But I also could understand how do you feel.

During last days my car get out from the transmission shop and all the work was fine. Then I take it to a nice past&wax for shining.

2-3 days later regarding the weather conditions I leave to my casual auto garage to wash.

Now guess what?

Mr. Bigshot cleaner was wash it with a BRUSH , and you now the rest of the story.

Well went to see a mate of mine who specialises in body work and is a specialist with Ferraris porsche and Lambo etc body work. Hes going to buff it out and if that fails he will have to spray the door rear quarter and front wing. Its going to cost me between £650 and £700 pounds.

My old E36 was keyed on the whole right side, front wing, both doors, rear wing and even the tank lid..... this outside a supermarked.
my primary suspect was one of the kids that hang arond there, probably did it to show off for his friends.
I can guarantee that if i'd caught him in the act, he would not be able to use a key ever again.

If I ever see anyone key a car he will be in a world of hurt for sure.

Damn, these stories are horrible and terifying. It never happened to me though. I must admit that I did have the fear that someone would scratch the car. The first few nights I had the the car and was parked in front of my home I didn't really get much sleep. The least sound would wake me up and made me walk to the window to check if everything was all right. Luckily, that blew over. All some punks ever did was putting some blocks behind my rear wheels so I couldnt drive off. I suppose these cars attract attention in every way.....

Well anyway in a couple of years you folks in the UK will be able to install a remote ID reader in the car and have them identified before they get the key back in their pocket.

I know that will stir a bit of controversy but I just had to slip it in

Wuffer lives about 4 hours away and I will soon need a chipped passport to come back after a visit. So it isn't just your fun government doing things like this to make us safe

I presume you mean a device that identifies RFID tags which will be present hidden within everything the scrote is wearing ? Now that is a thought..... Burberry Baseball cap, Addidas track suit, and Nike Boing shoes ???

I know what your getting at but unless we can read the actual ID of the t*ssers then all we'd get is a shopping list of chav uniforms.

I was actually thinking of the electronically readable ID that keeps getting proposed over there. And our new drivers licenses over here will be that way too if the US government has its way. Its only a matter of time.

you have my sincere sympathy! My mint estoril blue one sustained a large gouge right above the OSF wheel last Thursday in the car park at work! Not a word. Looks like it was inflicted by the rear door of a red 4x4. Needless to say I am now stalking the car park paying unhealthy attention to red cars!!!

If anyone knows of a good body specialist in bristol please let me know.

Further to my wee French contremps. Removed the inner boot liner to access the dent to find that it's in a double skin!! Aaagghh.

BUT, went to B&Q. bought a plumbers plunger ( £ 2.49.) Stuck it on, pulled, Zazoom, nae dent!

Great result. Not only have I avoided the tooth sucking estimates from the bodyshop, but, I can now sort out 90% of my drainage/ plumbing problems!! Never underestimate simplicity
